Covid-19 relief package from our Board of Directors to affected students
Around the beginning of May, VietHope launched a special initiative for Vietnamese students impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. In this one-time emergency assistance campaign upon receiving countless requests from VietHope alumni students to support fellow younger students, on May 3, 2020 VietHope's Board of Directors decided on a grant budget of $3000 USD (~$69 million VND) to provide one-time relief for 26 students, each receiving between $2 million to $5 million VND based on case-by-case consideration. The package will be dedicated towards recipients' tuition costs with a portion towards paying off rental and transportation fees from their homeowns to the schools in the city.
This profound and decisive initiative could not have been accomplished without the persistance and compassionate aid of our VietHope family. Your altruism is unmatched in a despairing time like this, and every little help you do so generously offer and so strongly pursue does not go unnoticed. In the words of Quang Tran, a member on VietHope's Board of Directors, "This family never ceases to amaze us in its thoughtfulness and real community for one another." So let us congratulate the 25 students in our VietHope family who received the relief and may we continue to help each other as one family together and push forward stronger more than ever!
