Applications Are Officially Open: Viethope Student Development Program (VSDP) 2026
To empower resilient, low-income students in their pursuit of higher education, VietHope officially announces the opening of applications for the VietHope Student Development Program (VSDP) 2026.
The total value of each grant package is tailored to specific academic majors and study locations across VietHope’s 9 partner universities:
🔹 Ho Chi Minh City: VND 37,750,000 (~USD 1,450)
🔹 Can Tho City: VND 33,850,000 (~USD 1,300)
🔹 Hue City:
- Members of Hue University: VND 29,900,000 (~USD 1,150)
- University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University: VND 41,600,000 – 69,000,000 (~USD 1,600 – 2,650), depending on the major (Nursing or General Medicine)
VSDP provides multi-year, holistic support throughout students’ academic journeys through a comprehensive framework:
- FINANCIAL SUPPORT: Alleviates financial burdens for students, customized by major and location.
- CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMS:
- Summer Summit: Equips students with essential soft skills through interactive workshops and practical training.
- Career Readiness: Prepares students to enter the competitive job market, securing quality employment and building sustainable futures post-graduation.
- Well-being & Resilience: Fosters self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and personal resilience.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Full-time first-year students at our 9 partner universities across Hue City, Ho Chi Minh City, and Can Tho City, as well as high school recipients of the VietHope Merit Development Program (MDP) scholarship.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- First-year students facing financial hardship who require academic funding support;
- Demonstrated resilience, strong determination, and pursuit of academic excellence;
- Solid academic performance (Good to Excellent ranking);
- Strong sense of community responsibility and a desire to create positive social impact.
