[MDP 2026] Hue City & Unwearied Footsteps: A Journey Of Connection And Empowerment
Behind every educational opportunity lies a unique story, one often shaped by unspoken hardships and silent sacrifices made by each family. This year’s Merit Development Program (MDP) field assessment in Hue became deeply meaningful as VietHope volunteers visited the homes of students from Phan Dang Luu High School, Quoc Hoc – Hue High School for the Gifted, and Nguyen Chi Thanh High School.

Certain truths can only be fully appreciated when we step into these homes, sit down, and listen directly to these heartfelt stories

The boundless love carried on a father’s tired shoulders and a mother’s weathered hands.

The humble study corners where students quietly persevere year after year.

The unwavering hope that families entrust to education as the key to a better future.

Every home visit not only deepens our volunteers’ understanding of these students but also serves as a poignant reminder of the power of empathy, compassion, and timely support.

VietHope extends its sincere gratitude to our dedicated volunteers. Your unwavering commitment and enthusiasm, travelling long distances through harsh weather, brought us closer to these students and their families. Meaningful support often begins not with grand gestures, but with sincere care, listening ears, and genuine warmth.

We also express our heartfelt appreciation to the families for opening their homes to us. Your warm hospitality allowed like-minded hearts to connect, listen, and deeply understand one another.

While the assessment trip has concluded, our mission to nurture these promising futures continues. Despite the challenges ahead, VietHope remains confident that with the students’ resilience and the community’s collective support, these young minds will overcome adversity and thrive.
