[Southern Summit 2026] From Hue To Can Tho: The F17 “Kites” Continue Their Soaring Journey

The Summer Summit is an annual experiential learning camp under the VietHope Student Development Program (VSDP). Through interactive workshops, collaborative projects, and practical challenges, Summit provides a dynamic platform for students to enhance essential skills, broaden their perspectives, connect with a vibrant community, and chart their future paths.

Following an enriching summer program in Hue, Summit 2026 has officially kicked off in Can Tho. 56 Southern F17 scholars gathered to learn, face challenges, build meaningful connections, and deepen their self-awareness.The cohort caught their first “wind” with the “Peaceful Communication” workshop, led by Ms. Khuyen Nguyen Truong Bao from NEED Compassionate Communication Vietnam. Rooted in real-world scenarios, the session helped scholars identify personal emotions and needs, practice active listening, and cultivate authentic connections.

Complementing this reflective inner journey, the “Presentation Skills” workshop, facilitated by Mr. TUAN NGUYEN – Senior L&D Manager at DHL Supply Chain Vietnam and Ms. Phuong Le Viet – Managing Director at Vespa Adventures, encouraged scholars to step forward, overcome self-doubt, and refine their public speaking capabilities.

On day two, the journey moved to “Critical Thinking in the AI Era,” led by Ms. Lai Thi Mong Tho – HR Director at KMS Technology, Inc. Vietnam. Scholars explored frameworks to evaluate information critically, ask strategic questions, and harness AI as an empowering tool rather than relying on it passively.

Building on this momentum, the “Teamwork & Team Leadership” module, facilitated by Ms. Tien Nguyen – Communication Lead at Athena Studio and Ms. Hanh Pham – People Project Associate at Athena Studio, equipped participants with key tools for effective collaboration, role alignment, and empowering leadership.

These foundational modules serve as the first empowering “winds” driving our F17 scholars under their theme, “Catch the Wind, Soar Your Way.” The Southern Summit 2026 has only just begun, with many more transformative experiences ahead.
