Impact Report 2025 – Reflecting On The Journey, Shaping The Future

For 23 years, VietHope has been dedicated to nurturing dreams and lifting lives by connecting young students with vital financial support and opening doors to quality education, mentorship, and career opportunities. Driven by a committed network of over 100 active volunteers across Vietnam and the US, our sustained efforts have successfully delivered 6,625 scholarships, translating to $1.2 million in funded support to empower low-income students.

Last year, guided by our 2025 theme “Grow Bigger. Change More Lives,” our programs expanded significantly to meet the growing needs of students. We successfully delivered 386 scholarships, ensuring that vital financial support reached both high school and university levels. By increasing our total scholarship funding by 24% and the number of recipients by 14% compared to 2024, we deepened our investment in the next generation, opening more doors to quality education, mentorship, and career opportunities.

These are just some of the key highlights our programs achieved over the past year:

• VSDP grew to help more students, receiving 782 applications. We awarded scholarships to 130 first-year and 80 second-year students, an increase of 44% and 9.6% from 2024.
  • To support this work, our alumni built a new AI platform to make the application process easier. This system saves time for our team and keeps student data safe.
  • The Summer Summit added a new training module called Career Talk: From Campus to the Real World. This session helps students prepare for their future jobs.
  • For Career Development, VietHope worked with corporate partners including KMS Technology, Yola, and Pizza Hut. Together, we organized 3 interactive workshops to give students practical insights.
  • The VSDP Scholarship Award Ceremony reached a new milestone this year. For the first time, the event was held across three regions: Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, and Hue.
• The Merit Development Program introduced its first online application system in 2025. Meanwhile, our volunteers continued to visit applicants’ homes in Hue and Can Gio to truly understand each student’s needs.
• We expanded our community impact through active alumni mentorship and new strategic partnerships, including a five-year MOU with VUFO Can Tho. We were also honored to represent our mission as one of 12 NGOs selected for the U.S.-Vietnam Friendship Festival.
• For our first co-branded scholarship with a multinational partner, VietHope proudly collaborated with Grab to launch the 2025 GrabScholar program in Vietnam. Together, we stand by resilient students facing financial hardships to ease their families’ burdens and keep their educational dreams alive.

These achievements would not be possible without the unwavering support of our donors and partners. Together with our corporate, high school, university, and public sector collaborators, we continue to expand educational opportunities and empower students to reach their full potential.
